Linda Harper-Brown

Elected to the Texas House by a landslide in 2002, Linda Harper-Brown was sworn into the Texas House of Representatives on January 14, 2003.

Throughout her tenure as a State Representative, Linda continues to focus on finding fiscally responsible solutions for our state budget, protecting Texas jobs, keeping Texans moving on our roadways, and finding ways to repair Texas’ education system.

House Bill 716

House Bill 716 would phase-out the franchise tax, freeing businesses from burdensome cost and compliance issues.  According to a Beacon Hill Institute study, the state could benefit from tens of thousands of new jobs & billions in investment.
